About Tina Javidi
Online therapy for adults in California. Sessions make room for careful listening — and for naming what keeps repeating when that is useful.
Who I tend to work well with
I often work with adults who think carefully and still get pulled into familiar reactions — including people who appear capable while feeling anxious, disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure inside.
Common reasons people reach out include anxiety and overthinking, burnout, relationship patterns, life transitions, self-worth, ADHD and neurodivergent experiences, and lower-acuity trauma-related material that shows up in present-day reactions.
What I notice in sessions
I notice more than the facts of a story — pauses, shifts in tone, self-correction, intellectualizing, avoidance, or the moment attention moves to someone else’s reaction instead of your own experience.
When something important is being skipped, I may slow down and name what I see so we can check it together. You can disagree. The aim is more choice outside the session, not a finished explanation of your whole history.
What sessions can feel like
Sessions leave room for honesty and for your own judgment. Some weeks are quiet. Some go somewhere unexpected. There can be silence, laughter, uncertainty, and difficult feelings in the same hour.
Clinical approach in ordinary language
My approach is relational and integrative. That means I start with the relationship we build in the room, and I draw from a few traditions depending on what the moment needs — person-centered listening, psychodynamic attention to repeating patterns, mindfulness and somatic awareness when the body is holding something the words skip, CBT-informed tools when a thought loop needs a practical handle, and parts-informed work when different pulls inside you are competing.
The work stays neurodiversity-affirming and culturally responsive rather than forcing one method onto every person. For pacing and session style, see How sessions work. Related services include anxiety therapy, ADHD therapy, relationship anxiety therapy, and the therapy overview.
A little outside the therapy room
Outside of work I enjoy hiking, beach days, Pilates, making music, road trips, game nights, and good food. I understand Farsi and provide therapy in English.

Care limits
I do not provide crisis or emergency services, medication management, formal psychological testing, court-ordered evaluations, or autism/ADHD diagnostic evaluations. If you need a higher level of care — for example more intensive outpatient support than weekly telehealth — specialized assessment, or something outside outpatient therapy, we can talk about referrals.
